FamilyMy wife Dorothy is my hero She is one of the strongest people I have ever known. My Son Charlie is my hero. He is a Corpsman with the 2nd Marine Division on his second tour of duty in Iraq. He is stronger and braver than anyone else I know . . . he has seen more blood and death than anyone his age should ever have seen and he is a true war hero, but he would be embarrassed if I said so in public. My daughter-in-law Jamie is my hero because she so bravely had my grandson James while her husband Charlie is in Iraq. She never complains and always seeks to lift Charlie up when he calls. She's a great mother and makes our family complete in the daughter-in-law department. Lastly there's my daughter Megan. Megan is my hero because she is the glue that holds our family together. She tells all of us when we are full of it and she makes me so proud. She's smart, attractive and she has a great future in any field she choses.
Family LifeLife is good . . . real good.
Read the Bible and some of the authors I read and you might find out why I feel that way, I didn't say that life was perfect. We have good times and bad times. We work, love, yell, fight, eat, over eat and try and find what all people are seeking . . . an elusive place called happy.
I love my family and they love me and in between all that we try and keep from annoying one another. Life is good . . . NO life is great!
Hobbies / InterestsI love to write. . . music, articles, stories, essays and books. I also work. I am a workaholic and I just can't stop.
Favorite AuthorsI like any books by: Don Miller, Jim Palmer, Nate Larkin, Dr. Gary Moon, Brian McLaren, C.S. Lewis and even James Lee Burke.
Favorite MusicMy favorite music is mainly from the 1960's & 1970's, especially blues, R&B and the music of Steely Dan. Not for the sake of message, but for the sake of the music.
Favorite TV ShowsI like stand up comedy and classic film. I like film noir, my favorite movie is "The Maltese Falcon." In the final analysis you could say I'm a sucker for any quality "Classic Film" "To kill A Mocking Bird, Cool Hand Luke, In the Heat of the Night with Sidney Poitier.
Interesting FactsWhen I was young . . . before I got old and fat, I used to work dangerous jobs filled with James Bond intrigue. I worked as a bodyguard for Arab sheiks and oil barrons and I also worked undercover in the narcotics world during Ronald Reagan's "War on Drugs."
Favorite QuoteIn any given situation, the information you don't have is usually the most important needed for making a good decision.
-Me . . . I said it.
