Gary Burd is a different kind of minister. Years ago he discovered within himself a well of compassion, mercy, and concern for people other churches often ignore. Soon he'd lost his coat and tie in favor of jeans, T-shirts and leather and they didn't become a costume they became a lifestyle. Today his ministry feeds the homeless, assists in substance abuse recovery and provides for men, women and children society likes to forget.

Born to Pentecostal Holiness parents and ministers, Gary became a minister at age 16. He and his wife, Carolyn, have served Christian Heritage Church in Amarillo since 1973 and have been Senior Pastors since 1986.

Both Gary and Carolyn have logged over 225,000 miles on their cycles during the past five years. The Christian "colors" on their motorcycle jackets often open doors for ministering the gospel to other bikers. Their greatest joy comes from serving the Matthew 25 people in our society and working with Free Camp.

Free Camp is a youth retreat, inspired by God, operated by Christian Heritage Church, and sponsored by area businesses and caring individuals.

"Jesus is Coming" is an album about the two most powerful forces in Howard and David's lives. Faith and Family. Humor, one of the most familiar sounds from the Bellamy Brothers, can also be found on this gospel album. Songs such as "Drug Problem," bring chuckles while driving home points that we often need to hear in our lives.
